A&E Retreat/ Crosby
Centers are recognized around the world for having the advanced
technology that literally photos and scans your 19-primary brain
functions. This technology helps our specialists and
doctors to identify why you suffer with mood-swings, anxiety, an
addiction or uncontrollable behavior: psychological abuse,
PTSD,
sexual and physical abuse, pre-mature dementia or other
psychological related conditions and addictions enjoined with drug
or alcohol abuse. We provide a wide variety of interventions from
natural supplements, medications, and targeted integrated multiple
forms of
Individual Psychotherapy in Dialectical Behavior Therapies
combining Bio and Neuro-treatments and we get results where others
have failed.
It
is not realistic to look at an addiction or aberrant behavior and
assume it is the problem. At the Crosby Center, we offer the newest
technology with experienced professionals and as a result we have
achieved extraordinary successful outcomes, even in difficult heroin
cases, aspergers, eating and personality disorders, where others
have failed. With our technology and specialists, we can find the
causes and help make this the best investment of your life.
For balance '
Mind - Body - Spirit ' a quality of life.
Our treatment
programs are individualized focused on
SPECT brain photo
imaging, neuro-functional scans and multiple psychological
tests that identify underlying facts and your true conditions for
comprehensive assessments and evaluations. We look at the whole
person's integrated functions-, ...cumulatively the brain functions
direct sensors and controls our feelings, thoughts and behaviors,
"what is my relationship with life"! This comprehensive
integrated dialectical treatment processes and emotional regulation
{combined meditation with stimulating of the parasympatheitc nervous
system} are very effective to live a more connected vibrant life and
having been published by various media, is now being talked about
nation-wide in progressive clinical and health care arenas.
How the Body Responds to Alcohol
Alcohol acts primarily on the nerve cells within the
brain. Alcohol interferes with communication between
nerve cells and all other cells, suppressing the
activities of excitatory nerve pathways and increasing
the activities of inhibitory nerve pathways.
For example,
University of Chicago Medical Center: Alcohol and
Anesthetic Actions
talks about the ability of alcohol (and inhaled
anesthetics) to enhance the effects of the
neurotransmitter GABA, which is an inhibitory
neurotransmitter. Enhancing an inhibitor would have the
effect of making things sluggish, {moods-memory-reactions;
usually pre-mature dementia} which matches the
behavior you see in a drug or alcohol dependency person.
WHEN WILL POWER IS NOT ENOUGH
Today, through new technology, we can
clearly identify causes of addictions, psychological and addictive
conditions and diagnose for effective treatment.
*[In simplification} -, ...case experience shows us that with new
technology scans and photos, psychological tests and comprehensive
physicals, our team of experienced doctors can identify basal
ganglia levels associated with anxiety, irritability, difficulty
sleeping, panic attacks, anterior cingulated problems leading to OCD,
and feeling emotionally "stuck", inflexible associated with amygdala
'fight-flight' reactions [emotional regulation} and compulsive
addictions; identify irregularity with the thalamus associated with
intense emotions, aggression, and sensitivity to pain.

Low and High beta
(not bio-lateral frontal) suggests a cause for difficulty with
decision making, filtering stimuli, emotion regulation and memory.
The percentage of high beta in the occipital sites also suggests
STRESS, sleep
difficulties and anxiety spectrum disorders.
IDENTIFIABLE PROBLEMS: This
pattern often contributes to anxiousness
bipolar
characteristics,
stressors obsessive-compulsive behaviors OCD,
compulsive sex or gambling i.e. stimulating endorphins,
hyper-vigilance, feeling overwhelmed and over-stimulated ADHD. To
calm this problem some patients will use
VARIOUS
drugs, alcohol or compulsive behaviors for calming the brain, self
medicating and in time sets up a dependency, i.e. an addiction.
SOLUTIONS: Through new technology,
our
experience and shared knowledge, our doctors can identify the
causes and know how to adjust the emotional drivers in the
brain, while stimulating neuro adjustment functions in the lower
brain, in turn results in measurable calculated change, and when effective the psychological turmoil transfers and
logically subsides as the
STRESSORS-minimize, the thoughts are normalized and the addiction
cravings dissipate.
This of course is
simplified for briefing, but it provides an idea of how
"clinical integrated therapies" are effective. We focus on
STRESSORS, the adjusting {conscious-subconscious} triggers
and neurotransmitter movements. Over the course of your
treatment, damaged areas of the brain are retrained to function
at a higher, more efficient level, resulting in better decisions
for your life. Combining proper nutrition, exercise,
brain training techniques with integrated dialectical and
cognitive therapies, we get results where others have
failed.
RESULTS:
The ultimate result in
reshaping the brain processing is remedial cognitive therapy;
reframed behavioral mindfulness; change in thought processing brain neurotransmitter-flow, for new
feelings and new behavior, a feeling of self control, satisfaction,
and well-being managed by the Pre-frontal Cortex;
without the need for suppressing drugs and or alcohol. Our
treatments stimulate and assist the brain to rejuvenate (RE-WIRE)
and self-regulate allowing you to regain control of your life.
Most
doctors will tell you that medications often just mask the
psychological imbalance in the hopes that the body will heal itself
over time.
Medications are primarily prescribed to help regulate emotions,
reactions and relieve pain. While not being able to measure the
full impacts of the medication effects, all too often medications
create a chemical imbalance in the brain, setting up an addiction,
while altering sensory perceptions and compromising one's ability to
logically manage feelings, emotional-regulation, fears guilt or
shame to a point of thoughts of suicide.
Some individuals self medicate for relief in a similar manner with
alcohol and illicit drugs
setting up brain imbalances and an emotional addiction, or drug
dependency. Today there is technology, insight and affordable
solutions for effective treatment for complicated neurological
illnesses; ...holistically normalizing systems and brain
malfunctions -, ...thus opening the opportunity for natural recovery
giving patients their best opportunity to reclaim their life and a
better quality of life.
Our team of doctors at The Crosby Centers have many years of
experience in treating patients afflicted with complicated
psychological illnesses and dual diagnosed addictions even when

conditions that would be beyond the capabilities of most other
